  11. The Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired
    Established in 1847, is accredited by state and national certifying organizations. The School is administered by the State Department of Health and receives its funding from the State of Indiana. Pre-school through high school programs are offered free of charge on a residential or day school basis, to the young people of Indiana who are blind and visually impaired.

  12. Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind
    The VSDB, established in 1839, provides comprehensive educational services to deaf, hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired children from birth to 22 years of age who reside in the western part of the state and require specialized instruction not available in local public schools.
